Yoga for Real Bodies…
I teach from the belief that movement cannot be separated from the human experience.
Our bodies are constantly adapting to stress, injury, pressure, environment, emotion, repetition, expectations, survival strategies, and the pace of modern life itself.
I don’t believe movement practices should ask people to disconnect from themselves in order to fit rigid shapes or ideas.
My teaching has been shaped through years of working closely with students, teachers, athletes, hypermobile bodies, burnout patterns, chronic tension, injury recovery, nervous system dysregulation, and the very real movement compensations we develop while trying to keep up with life.
The practices I teach are designed to help people better understand the bodies they live in.
This Practice May Resonate With You If…
you’ve spent years pushing through tension, fatigue, or discomfort because slowing down never felt accessible
you’ve been praised for flexibility while quietly feeling unstable, disconnected, or chronically tight underneath it
you feel like your nervous system is “on” all the time — even during practices meant to feel restorative
you’re craving movement that feels intelligent, sustainable, and human instead of performative
you intellectually understand your body, but struggle to actually feel connected to it in real time
you’re tired of treating your body like a project that constantly needs fixing
you’ve noticed that stress, burnout, pressure, or life circumstances seem to show up physically in the body
you’re learning that mobility, strength, breath, tension, posture, overwhelm, and pain are often more connected than they first appear
you’re a yoga teacher wanting to move beyond memorized cueing and develop a deeper understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and real-world movement
you want movement practices that leave you feeling more aware of yourself — not more disconnected from yourself
you’re beginning to realize that your body adapted intelligently to your life experiences, even if those adaptations no longer feel supportive
you want a relationship with movement rooted in awareness, adaptability, curiosity, and longevity instead of punishment or perfection
